Arrest at the Midwest Gun Club
As some of you may have heard or read, we had an incident Tuesday night, 5/11, where a customer made the
poor decision to visit the range while under the influence and was subsequently arrested by the Canal Fulton Police
Department. The customer was apparently charged with felony drug possession, operating a firearm while intoxicated,
and carrying a concealed weapon (switchblade knife).
The reported blood alcohol level of the customer (.062) was less than the legal limit of .08. However, our stance is that being under the
influence of any substance that impairs judgment compromises our ability to provide a safe environment for our customers.
Zero Tolerance Policy In response to this event, the Midwest Gun Club has partnered with local law enforcement
to implement the following:
1. The Midwest Gun Club staff will receive training on detecting signs of impairment; 2. Implement a
Zero Tolerance policy where the Midwest Gun Club staff will immediately contact the police anytime there is
a reasonable indication that the customer may be impaired or under the influence.
We take the safety of our staff and customers very seriously and will make every effort to provide a safe, professional and
family friendly facility.
New Hours, We have adjusted our hours a little bit to offset some of the summer activities that compete
for our customer's attention during the warm months.
What can we do for you? We are looking for suggestions from all of you. For new activities, competitions,
products or services we can offer to help with all of your shooting needs for the summer. Please call, stop in or
e-mail us with any of your suggestions.
Rifle Bay,Our new rifle bay is up and running. Customers can now bring their favorite assault riffle
to the range. Bay use is limited to slow fire and only at the distance of 50' A special rifle bay rental rate applies. Please call
the store during normal business hours for more information.

Price Changes: As of November 1, 2009 there will some changes in the Midwest Gun Club
prices. We have tried to resist changing prices in the past but are unfortunately not immune to the effects of our economy. The
good news is that not all prices changes are bad, long run rental and CCW class prices are lower (long gun rental is $10 and
the CCW class will remain at the summer price of $100 per person). 2010 Price List effective 11/01/09

will cover topics including situational awareness, firearm safety, use of force, Ohio CCW law, CCW gear and gun handing

Bowling Pin Matches
Novice and veteran shooters are welcome to join us and have some fun knocking down some pins. Shooters get
5 seconds and 4 bullets to hit 3 pins from various distances.
CCW Competency Re-certification
Your original certificate is good for six years and is valid to use in your first CCW permit renewal - check
with your local or surrounding Sheriff's Department for specific details. Needed material will
include: Certificate of Competency, CCW Application, Recent passport photo (within 30 days),
and application fees. You can apply for re-certification as early as 90 days before, but
no more than 30 days after, the expiration of your current license.
If you do not have your original CCW certificate you can make arrangements to take our CCW Competency Re-certification
class. This class is 4 hours and includes firearm competency exercises on the live fire range and time in the classroom
reviewing current CCW law. Classes can be scheduled any Sunday that a CCW Certification class is scheduled.
